Information we collect automatically:

  • Your location: We need this to:

    • Send a driver to pick you up

    • Show you real-time tracking of your ride

    • Calculate the correct fare

    • Keep records for safety

  • Your device info: What type of phone/computer you use, your IP address (basically your internet address)

  • How you use our service: Which features you use, pages you visit

 

For our drivers specifically:

  • We track driver location even when the app is closed to monitor trips, ensure safety, and calculate accurate distances

2. Why We Need This Information

Here's exactly why we collect each piece of information:

  • To provide rides: We can't send a driver if we don't know where you are

  • To charge you correctly: We need payment info to process your fare

  • To contact you: We need your phone/email to send confirmations and updates about your ride

  • To keep you safe: We keep trip records in case there are safety issues or disputes

  • To improve our service: We look at patterns to make our service better

  • To follow the law: Transportation companies must keep certain records

3. Who We Share Information With

Your driver gets:

  • Your first name

  • Pickup and dropoff locations

  • Your phone number (only for that specific ride)

 

Our service providers get limited info:

  • Everlink/EverTransit: Runs our booking and dispatch system (see their privacy policy at www.evertransit.com/privacy)

  • Wix: Hosts our website

  • Square: Processes your payments securely

  • Text/email services: To send you ride confirmations

 

We might have to share information when:

  • Police or courts require it: Like if there's an investigation or court case

  • Someone's safety is at risk: Like if there's a threat or emergency

  • There's fraud: Like if someone uses a stolen credit card

  • Someone damages property: Like if a passenger damages a vehicle and we need to file an insurance claim

 

We promise we NEVER:

  • Sell your information to anyone

  • Share your info for other companies' marketing

  • Give out more information than necessary

4. How We Protect Your Information

We use standard security measures including:

  • Encryption (basically scrambling your data so hackers can't read it)

  • Secure servers with limited access

  • Square handles all payment security (they're the experts)

 

That said, nothing on the internet is 100% secure. We do our best, but we can't guarantee perfect security.

5. Your Choices and Rights

You can always:

  • See your information: Ask us what info we have about you

  • Fix mistakes: Tell us if something's wrong so we can correct it

  • Delete your account: Ask us to remove your information (though we might have to keep some records for legal reasons)

  • Stop marketing emails: Click "unsubscribe" or tell us to stop

  • Turn off location: Though this means you can't book rides through the app

6. How Long We Keep Your Information

  • Active accounts: As long as you use our service

  • Old ride records: 7 years (tax and legal requirements)

  • Marketing lists: Until you tell us to stop

  • After you delete your account: We delete most info right away, but keep basic records as required by law

Our service isn't for kids under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

 

Teenagers (13-17) need parent permission to use our service.
